Project Background
Power & Control recently completed a bespoke solar installation for a residential property in Breadsall, Derby. The homeowners were eco-conscious individuals looking to reduce their carbon footprint and save on energy costs. They opted for a comprehensive solar solution that would not only meet their current energy needs but also provide storage capabilities for future use.
Installation Details
The installation involved setting up 24 high-efficiency 430W Jinko Solar Panels, which are known for their durability and superior performance. To maximise energy storage and utilisation, two Puredrive Purestorage 5kWh Batteries were integrated into the system. This allows the homeowners to store excess energy generated during the day for use during the night or on cloudy days.
The system is powered by two inverters: a 6kW Solis Hybrid Inverter and a 1.5kW Solis Inverter. The hybrid inverter is particularly beneficial as it can manage both solar power generation and battery storage, ensuring optimal energy use and minimal wastage.
Performance and Savings
The newly installed solar system is estimated to generate significant annual savings of approximately £1281. With a payback period of just 11 years, the homeowners are set to enjoy long-term financial benefits while contributing to a greener environment.
