Introduction:

They partnered with us, Power & Control Electrical & Renewables, to modernise their facilities and reduce energy costs. This case study shows how our solutions helped Alpha Construction achieve significant savings and enhance their operations.
The Challenge:
Alpha Construction's existing infrastructure was outdated and inefficient. Their lighting system consumed excessive energy, and they lacked the capacity to charge their growing fleet of electric vehicles. They needed a practical solution that would address these challenges, improve overall performance, and support their journey toward net zero emissions.
The Solution:
We designed and installed a multi-faceted solution that included:
- LED Lighting Upgrade: We replaced over 100 old fluorescent lights with new, energy-efficient LED fittings. This dramatically cut their energy use and provided a brighter working environment.
- EV Charging Infrastructure: We fitted six 22kW Easee electric vehicle charge points, complete with load management and user consumption logging. Now, Alpha Construction can support their current electric vehicles and easily add more in the future.
- Solar PV Installation: We installed 36 high-efficiency 440-watt solar panels on Alpha Construction's roof, creating a 15.8kW system. This system is expected to generate 15,431 kWh of energy each year, significantly reducing their reliance on the national grid.
