Derby University

The installation of seven of our electric vehicle chargers (EVCs) for the University of Derby's fleet of maintenance and security vans is part of the ongoing commitment for the university to be an exemplar organisation within the low carbon economy. 

For our part of the project, we installed four of our 22kw My Energi Zappi EVCs and a 22kw Easee charger at the Kedleston Road campus. We've also installed two Easee chargers at the Buxton campus and the newly refurbished student accommodation, Peak Court, with added infrastructure to increase the number of EVCs on site in the future. 

Being able to charge individual vehicles on-site means that charging can be utilised at optimum times to make use of solar power or lower energy rates at non-peak times. 

We know that UoD is looking to increase its fleet of Electric Vehicles (EVs), so we've adapted our installation process to create the infrastructure needed to add further charge points when required. 

Although EVC installations are smaller-scale projects, they can make a huge difference for the future of the planet. By making commitments to deliver infrastructure for EVs and help to future-proof their campuses, UoD is leading the way for an eco-conscious future.
