The Ambition

As a large educational institution with significant energy consumption, Nottingham College was strategically focused on reducing its substantial operational costs and demonstrating a clear, measurable commitment to sustainability.

The Opportunity

The college's extensive, unobstructed roof space presented a prime opportunity for a high-yield solar PV installation. The goal was to convert this unused "asset" into a powerful energy-generating system that would deliver maximum financial returns and carbon reduction.

Our Approach

Following our successful electrical refurbishment projects, Power & Control was commissioned to deliver this turnkey renewable energy solution. Our team designed and deployed a powerful 98.12 kWp system, meticulously planned for optimal generation. The installation involved:

  • Mounting 223 high-efficiency 440-Watt solar panels.
  • Integrating a state-of-the-art Solis 80kW inverter to manage the system's output and ensure peak performance.
