Project Overview

Power & Control was contracted by Orchard Meadows to conduct a comprehensive electrical and systems refurbishment. The project focused on key high-traffic and sensitive areas, including the Reception Classroom, Nursery Classroom, W/C facilities, and main circulation areas.

The Challenge

The facility's existing systems were outdated and insufficient for the demands of a modern educational environment. The client required a complete overhaul to enhance safety, improve energy efficiency, and ensure all systems were fully compliant with current regulations, all while working within a sensitive environment for young children.

The Solution

PAC delivered a complete, turn-key solution, managing the project from removal to final commissioning.

• Initial Strip-Out: A full and safe strip-out of all redundant electrical, lighting, and safety systems was performed.
• Core Electrical Upgrade: New distribution boards with essential surge protection were installed. We deployed all new containment and small power solutions throughout the designated areas.
• Lighting & Efficiency: The entire area was upgraded to modern, energy-efficient LED lighting, along with a new, fully compliant emergency lighting system.
• Integrated Safety & Security: We designed and installed a seamless, integrated system including; Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, Data Cabling and General Security Systems
• System Integration: Our team provided all necessary electrical services to support the mechanical works, ensuring all systems work in harmony.
• Full Handover: The project was completed with the delivery of comprehensive As-Fitted drawings and full O&M (Operations & Maintenance) manuals for the client's records.
