How do solar panels work?
Solar panels generate electricity by capturing sunlight using photovoltaic (PV) cells made of semi-conducting silicon. When daylight strikes these cells, it creates a direct current (DC) of electricity. Because homes run on alternating current (AC) from the mains electricity, an installed inverter converts this DC power into usable AC electricity.
