Investing in Our Community: Modernising an Oxford Primary School

At Power & Control, we're committed to making a positive impact in the communities we serve. That's why we are particularly proud to announce our latest project: delivering the complete electrical installation for a full W.C. refurbishment at a primary school in Oxford.

It’s always a privilege to contribute to creating better, safer, and more efficient learning environments for both staff and pupils. This project sees our team applying its expertise to completely modernise the facilities.

Our comprehensive scope of works is designed to create a modern, safe, and energy-efficient space. This includes:

⚡ New LED Lighting & Emergency Lighting: Installing bright, modern lighting to create a more welcoming space, with a fully compliant emergency lighting system to ensure the highest standards of safety for everyone in the school.

🔌 Small Power and Hand Dryer Supplies: Upgrading the power infrastructure to support modern amenities, including new, efficient hand dryers.

💡 PIR-Controlled Lighting: A key feature of this installation is the integration of Passive Infrared (PIR) sensors to control the lighting. This intelligent system automatically turns lights on when the area is in use and off when it's empty. This not only reduces the school's carbon footprint but also generates significant cost savings on energy bills – a win-win for the environment and the school's budget.

🛠️ Full Electrical Containment & Safe Isolation: Behind the scenes, we're ensuring all cabling is neatly managed and protected within robust containment systems. Throughout the project, we adhere to the strictest safe isolation procedures to guarantee the safety of the site and everyone on it.

Working within a live school environment presents unique challenges, but it’s a situation our team is highly experienced in navigating. We have meticulously planned our work to ensure minimal disruption to the school day.
